Add a headboard

How to do it: If you have the basic metal bed-frame you can add that hotel look of luxury by adding an upholstered  headboard. Kits are available online or you can have one CUSTOM made (the average cost is fairly reasonable). Add a folded blanket or comforter to the foot of the bed and you will feel like you are staying at a high end hotel..

Create a Sense of Uniformity

How to do it: Unify unmatched bedroom furniture by painting pieces the same hue using Authentic Home Paint.

This will work for any room or area that needs a greater sense of unity-- If the area is larger consider using complimentary colors to compliment and unify the design...

Owning a business! oh my!

You know that saying "when life throws you lemons make lemonade" Well I'm sitting on a semi full of lemons and don't think anyone can drink that much lemonade! Sometimes being a small business owner takes it's toll on you mentally and emotionally --- it can just plain suck!

I'm feeling a little sentimental today as I work thru some difficult issues and look for advice and support. I'm sending a BIG shout-out to all the small business owners that have lended me support over the years, I am so grateful for you all! If you haven't build yourself a network of business owners who you can bounce ideas off of, or who can just listen. Most of us can relate thru similar incidents so the business doesn't have to be exactly the same as yours. We often isolate ourselves as owners thinking we can do it all, everyone needs help from time to time--really we do!

Your friends and family don't always understand the joys, the strains or the pressures of having so many people being dependent (employees, clients, vendors..) on you. So at times it makes it hard to have someone to lean on for support. I have been so blessed over the years to have met so many great business owners without whom I would be lost! It's great to be able to pickup the phone and give someone a call and talk it out with someone who can really understand the issues at hand.

For me as well I wouldn't be here everyday if it weren't for the Lord! He gives me strength everyday to get up, go out and press in when everything seems so impossible

...for today I am doing somehting in your own day, something you wouldn't believe even if someone told you about it.. Habakkuk 1:5

Accent a Wall

How to do it: Create an accent wall in the living room by papering the fireplace or sofa wall with grasscloth or other textured wallpaper. Choose one with a tone that picks up the surrounding paint color. Take it a step further and select a patterned wallpaper in an accent color.. the textures and patterns available today are awesome.. we have several new books in the showroom..

Group Displays

How to do it: Group small prints, photos, and vintage plates and hang them together for the look of a large, expensive piece of art. Blown glass art will work as well...Arrange the display on the floor first to limit nail holes. Use plate hangers or other hanging products to mount your pieces.. for professional advice contact Larson's Quality Installations  425-775-2116..  Larson's facebook page

Bring It Down to Eye Level

How to do it: Lower your art to eye level, about 64 inches from the floor. Many people make the mistake of hanging their artwork closer to the ceiling, this draws your focus away from the entire room design--your eyes go up..  Keep the center of your artwork at eye level and your room will have more balance...

If you have art installation questions contact: Larson's Quality Installations 425-775-2116

Upsize Your Windows

How to do it: Make small windows look larger by hanging drapes at ceiling height. This is a great way to add more height to your room. Even if you have high ceilings mounting close to the ceiling will add a greater sense of elegance. You can also extend the rod beyond the window by 1/3 the width and give the window and room the illusion of being larger..
