Holiday Decorating

I'm loving how my holiday home decor turned out this year. Once again I had to downsize.. It was a bit of a challenge going thru everything and making sure I had all my favorite things set aside to use..
I had to finally let my huge 8' tree go this year since I keep moving into smaller places.. there's never goning to be room for it! I love the scale of this new one.. Just big enough to hold all my treasures!

my sewing treasure ornament

The Three Wisemen candle holders were my Mom's, she got them in the 1960's and kept them wrapped in the original box for all these years. The small Nativity scene belonged to my mother's parents Grandpa and Grandma Macy.. It was there first Nativity set on 1924, it is still stored in the original box with a handwritten note from Grandma telling how they got the set. My Grandma Macy was a great history keeper for the family. I have many ornaments on my tree with little notes and dates from when the family purchased them.. such treasures !!

Look at some amazing work done by a local Northwest Business:

FEATURED PROJECT
HUSKY HUB: PIVOT PANELS & "FOREST IN THE MIST" MURAL
I.W.S. is celebrating not only 25 years in business but also the completion of the premier architectural woodwork that was required for the new University of Washington- Husky Hub project. The Pivot Panels are 16' tall, 6' wide and are built on a radius. These panels are motorized and can be opened and closed for the desired use of the room. Truly Amazing!

The Mural below runs 220' long and is made up of 4x8 panels Each panel is unique in how the auto-cad driven CNC drilled hole pattern can have as little as 40 holes and as many as 10,000 holes per panel. There are over 1million holes in the entire mural.

The entire project was a great testament to TEAM WORK between the Architect (Perkins Will) the General Contractor (Skanska USA) ourselves (Interior Woodworking Specialists) and all of our key vendors and sub-contractors. We all worked together to make a beautiful project  for the UW.

I.W.S's unique abilities in engineering, project management  and guaranteed on time installations are available for your next project, just give us a call.

Remember:  ASK FOR TEAM I.W.S., TO INSURE YOUR SUCCESS.

Jonathan Adler from Kravet at dbm!!

Energetic, upbeat and a tad trippy,
Jonathan Adler's latest collection of fabrics
and trimmings for Kravet adds the perfect pop to any modern design.
Now in showrooms, the collection reflects Adler's
colorful approach to design. Linen and velvet, modernist forms,
bold graphic patterns and embroidery in a range of
both vivid colors and neutrals embody the essence of optimism,
which is the core of Adler's philosophy.

Moving YIKES!

Well it looks like most of the moving is done now we just have to get our new space all put together! It may be a work in progress for awhile!

6520 121th St SW #201, Lynnwood, WA 98036  425-582-7152 efax: 1-425-944-9608

We had fun picking paint colors and decided to go with Ben Moore 2149-40, 50 and 60 love the yummy green tones.. The floor was covered with about 20 different pieces of carpeting in various colors (yuke) and stages of decay! so we opted to rip them out and just paint the floor and charcoal/green.. looks like concrete..

Keep watch for our open house in November celebrating our 16th anniversary and our new location!

Also watch for upcoming schedules of classes that will be offered in our new education center! Keep in mind also that the space is available for rental to host your own seminar or class!
